listeners' stories, advice, and questions

Continuing our discussion about marriage from the LGBTQ point of view, Sherley, Kira, and Cultural Expert, Collincia Rouse dive deeper into discussing marriage in the LGBTQ community. We discuss the value of hetereosexual relationships and queer relationships, our first exposure to the LGBTQ community, sin in Christianity, acceptance in different regions, desiring children, sexual compatability, challenging our mindsets, and more.

Discussion:

  1. Why is same sex marriage important?
  2. Are same sex marriages different from heterosexual marriages when it comes to procreation?
  3. What do you have to say to religious people that are against homosexuality?
  4. Why do you feel that only people who identify as LGBTQ have to follow the biblical law and heterosexuals can modify it to their liking?
  5. What advice do you want to offer same sex marriage couples?

Collincia Rouse is a budding cultural expert at the cusp of 30 with ambitions of being the Black Terry Gross. Though begrudgingly designated as “the smart or cool friend”, she prefers to devote most of her brain function to analyzing the compatibility of Issa and Lawrence’s soulmate status. And when not consuming a ridiculous amount of pop culture or being creative in the kitchen, she spends her time contemplating identity and applying for PhDs.
