listeners' stories, advice, and questions

In this episode, we talk with our special guest, Mother and Author, Mandi Pratt. She’s got quite the story which includes a restraining order, a connection to a string of robberies, and a visit from the FBI. As Mandi walks us through her trauma with a physically abusive husband and leaving him, she brings up life saving tips for safely leaving a relationship, doing what’s best for your children, and healing from a crisis such as this.

Meet a mom who wasn’t looking to be a badass when danger came knocking at her door. She just wanted to know real, actionable tips to help protect herself and young son from a crazy life situation that left them in the throws of an FBI search for her fugitive ex-husband, a serial bank robber. Mandi, over the past decade, has spent countless hours in hands-on training from a top level self defense instructor. She claimed her life and power back and now teaches other women how to do the same through her book and online safety course for women.
